Spring time fun

Hi Everyone!  Nothing much going on the last couple weeks.. we're getting outdoors more as the weather is finally getting a bit better here.  The rains have largely stopped and the days are warm, though the mornings and evenings are still quite cold.  I got all the bikes out yesterday and pumped up all the tires and oiled the wheels so we can ride them.

When the sun is out, Jad will want to have his lunch
on the curb out front
Kai started with soccer again.  He's having fun with half
of his team being kids we know from before.  Go Vipers!

Jad also started playing soccer.  He's on the team with
his friend Conner from TK so they are doing great.

One day, we went to the church office and this guy was
there with a bunch of puppies (his dog had a litter)..

Super cute and the kids loved them but we said
 definitely no more animals

I had a chance to go with Kai on his field
trip to Mission San Juan Bautista

They made their own tortillas and ate them!  It was
nice to see Kai interacting with his classmates

Amy is usually more free so she gets to go on more trips with the kids.  This is
Sora and her crew at the U.S.S. Hornet

If the weather is nice, Jad and his friend Yashew (and others)
will run around in front of their school.  Sometimes dads will join in :)

Penelope's birthday party.  The inflatable obstacle course
was a big hit :)

Sora also had her first piano recital which went well.  She was nervous
but played very well (to my ears)

That's about it really.  We have spring break coming up next week, though we aren't even planning to do much as I'm working for many of the days.  Hopefully, the situation at work will improve soon (we're understaffed by at least 4 docs so no one can take much vacation).

I'll leave you with this nice pic of the RCC moms going out.  They all went to the nearby Big Dog Winery last Sunday afternoon.  Amy said the wine was all right but still nice to get away for a couple hours while the dads watched the kids :)

Mom's day out!
