Princess Sora

Sora picked out a toy for her birthday at school and guess what she chose? A tiara! She put it on and said, "call me Princess Sora." Aiya.. we're in trouble. Last night she had trouble sleeping, she didn't go to bed until 10:30 pm and woke up three times last night. It was pretty exhausting for me and Nik since we also have a newborn waking up several times in the middle of the night. I think she's been having bad dreams recently. Kai also had problems with nightmares around the same age, but it seems to have improved for him, so hopefully it'll also get better for Sora.

We still have problems with Kai being especially whiny.. it's so annoying, but hopefully it's just a phase. There are times when he can be quite helpful and mature, but those moments are fleeting.

Neither of us could get Sora to eat.. but Kai could!

It's also hard to get the kids to smile normally for the camera these days. This is what they call the emoji face:

Fingers crossed that Jad's nighttime sleep is improving. For the past few nights, when we set him down at night he'll have a long sleep interval (4 to 7 hours!).. after that, it's back to waking every 1.5 to 2 hours, but I'm pretty happy if we can have at least one long stretch of sleep. The kids are somewhat helpful with Jad: they love to make him smile and Sora will sing to Jad in the car when he's crying.

Nik purchased a metallic print and we have yet to put it up on the wall, so we've propped it up by Jad's changing table and he enjoys smiling at it while having his diaper changed.
