Just carry on with regular life here the last couple of weeks. The weather is improving a bit though it's still too cold for my liking. The rain has been mostly steady but we get more sunny days now and I'm looking forward to spring. Hope the summer won't be crazy hot this year. On to the pictures!
Jad on crazy hair day.. he's more daring than either Kai or Sora were

Then they decided to sleep downstairs :)
We snuck in a brunch date while the kids were in school
Kai lost a tooth (actually, Sora did too)
Sora started selling girl scout cookies which has been an experience. Amy is the cookie chair of their troop so she's spending a lot of time organizing with all the other moms. It seems like a big MLM scam using child labor to me. Each troop gets 80 cents of each $6 box of cookies, about $1.50 goes to the cookie maker and the rest goes to the girl scouts organization. Oh well, the cookies do mostly sell themselves. Sora isn't even trying very hard and she's sold almost 100 boxes already.
She went to wander the neighborhood with all the kids
Josh, next door, celebrated his 3rd birthday so we finally got a look into David and Janet's house. It was a lot of fun and we had a ton of Chinese food :) They are great neighbors!
Jad was more excited about the gift than Josh
Kai and Casey are watching closely
We've been playing street soccer with the kids. Adults vs kids and we adults are 3 games to nothing on the kids side. He hee, take that kids! jk, it's just for fun and I'm sure they'll win soon. I wish the cars on our street would slow down though..
Street soccer style
Speaking of which, both Kai and Jad started back for spring soccer. Kai also restarted Jujitsu so he has those two activities. Sora has gymnastics, piano and girl scouts. Jad just has soccer for now.
Jad is with his friend Conor from TK so he's having lots of fun
The Hara's were in town for a few days so they dropped by for dinner. It was nice catching up with them and learning about their life in Colorado. One day we'll have to make a visit out there.
Always nice to see old friends
Last, and probably most important, I got baptized this past weekend. It was another step in a long series of steps so no dramatic changes or miracles but it was still a significant one. Hopefully, it'll make me a better person with more patience, compassion and joy.

Giving the testimony in front of everyone. David, Matt and the whole Huang family made it to witness

The water of life is cold and refreshing.. actually, mostly just really cold :D
That's all for now. Til next time!
