This year, we coordinated the kids' costumes with Kai "driving" Thomas the Tank Engine and Sora riding in a Troublesome Truck.
We started the evening at our neighbor's house where one of our neighbors hosted a pretty elaborate haunted house and Halloween party/potluck.
When it got dark, we visited a few house and rang a few doorbells.. we only made it to five houses total (trick-or-treating with a toddler :P). Even so, I have to say that it ended up being a resounding success: Kai wore the Thomas costume for much longer than we had anticipated (the power of the promise of candy) and he got a lot of compliments. :)
